Are the original mounting rubbers of your Fender worn or dried out? Have you bought a Fender pickup without mounting materials? Here's a set of new Fender Pickup Tubing. These rubber tubes serve as spacers and are placed around the screws between the pickup and pickguard. The rubber prevents the unwanted microphonic feedback and humming that often occurs with metal springs. Fender Pickup Tubing can also be used on direct-mount pickups (pickups that are screwed directly into the body), which are often used on Fender bass guitars.
